The best way to make it work is to reset it.Steps to reset the Honeywell Thermostat 7000 Series
- Set the thermostat to "OFF."
- Head over to your circuit breaker box and turn the power to "OFF."
- Remove the thermostat from the wall-plate.
- You would be able to see 2 x AAA Alkaline Batteries present.
- Remove these batteries.
- Insert the batteries backwards in such a way that the negative pole lines with the positive terminal.
- Now, leave the batteries placed in such a way for at least five seconds.
- Remove the batteries again.
- Put them back in the correct way.
- The display should now turn "ON".
- Fix the thermostat back onto the wall plate and switch "ON" the circuit breaker box.
The user manual can be found on the Honeywell support page as well.
