My Thermostat Will Not Respond To Any Of The Setting Buttons Even With A New Bat

This thermostat is about 15 years old. Does it need replacing -even with a new battery is will not accept programming or display the temperature.

Hello If you switch your fan from the AUTO setting to the ON position, does the fan come on?

If so you have both high voltage and the 24 volt control circuit power which is provided by the heater's transformer, the transformer receives the hot leg of the 24 volts and the Common terminal would be the opposite side of power for the 24 volt circuit, its called common as every 24 volt circuit terminates there to complete its circuit, common being the unswitched leg, red being the switched hot leg.

I suspect you have a 24 volt issue if the breakers are set to on, try resetting them even if they appear to be on.

You need to see if you have 24 volts by reading the red and comon terminals at the thermostats sub base or at the heater itself.;

By running the fan in the on position we are seeing if it has 24 volts power or not, if it does it haqs to havfe the high voltage as that is where its derived. I will furnish a few diagrams, ask further questions if required.
