1997 Honda Accord

The key does not turn car on,the positive and or negative battery terminals when touched to battery posts sparks and turns on starter at full throttle,can the grounded cables be crossed over by accident?a new battery installed cause car was not starting,in this car is their 3 wires suppised to be connected then placed on the positive side?theres only one connected to negative thats why im asking....also is there still a recall on the ignition starter?

You should have 1 negative cable & 1 positive or red connector, see photo here. Go here for the recall info.
