1996 Honda Accord Lx Automatic 4 Cyl.

I have a 1996 Honda Accord LX automatic 4 cyl. I've read a lot about starting problems... I just had my starter removed and had it tested and it came back the starter was GOOD. My battery has also been tested and it has come back GOOD. When I tried to start it I get nothing right now but for the past 3 or so months its been doing that on and off. I thought it was the battery then I thought it was the started so this is why I know these parts are good.I also thought it make be the cables to the battery only because after I would clean the posts and the cables or replace them it would start for awhile agian.. I was tapping the starter and that would make it start so I"m to the point that I can't figure it out and the person I have working on it bi pasted the starter, it started about 10 times and then again nothing. I'm a female with a very low-income so its not easy for me to just to it to the shop and trust me if I could figure this problem out myself I would've fixed it already... What's really confusing to me is I haven't been able to fine anywhere on the internet where someone posted for a positive outcome. Seems like everyone realty only talks about the problem not the fix.. Can you please help me solve this problem I'm having? I think its in the egnition switch or maybe a fuse under the hood.... I did notice something inside the under the hood fuse box but when I went to the auto parts store they were only able to show me the connector end there's 3 wires that come of it and the didn't have any 3 wire harnesses... tts longer then a regular fuse like I said with 3 wires coming out of it they look a little burnt and at the base where they go in to this piece the wire was a little expsosed.. Hi Susan. I am assuming the Accord cranks but just does not start. See the troubleshooting tutorial http://troubleshootmyvehicle.com/honda/3.0L/how-to-test-a-no-start-condition-1 for some more advises. Otherwise, you can avail a fruitful realtime online troubleshooting help from one of the justanswer.com experts for a very affordable price.

I'm assuming it doesn't turn the starter over when you turn the key? I can guide you if that's the case, but you'll need a cheap test light and a cheap multi meter. About $25-30 at a Harbor Freight tools store or their website. Look online for coupons first.
