Rear Speakers Not Working

When driving, my rear speakers gave break while playing for 2-3 times and then ended up not working! I used a multimeter to check if the power is coming to them. It showed about 6.5V+ or so, on both the speakers, yet they dont appear to work. Mine is a honda civic ex 94 model. Please help
