Although the repair portion of Home Depot is really a subcontracted service I have found that the local General Store Manager (GSM) is the best way to get things done when there is a problem like this.

Go in person and ask to speak with him in his office; speaking with them on the floor is good but you have their full attention AND they have access to their phone right then if you are in their office.

It also shows that you are serious about getting their elp and they do not want you escalating something to their District Manager (DM) after you have spoken to them first.

They can pick up the phone and get something done. Trust me on this. If they do not, go to the DM and get their name. It's amazing how much can get done if you climb a chain every now and then.
