Cleaning Mist Nozzle

how do I clean around mist nozzle. It has a pink colored coating around the nozzle area that I can see when I turn it upside down.

TO CLEAN: To remove any scale or build up, use a 50/50 mixture of vinegar and lukewarm water to clean the inside of the tank.
