How To Read Battery Symbols On Charger

I have a Hitachi 14.4 volt cordless drill, DS 14DV, but had to get after market batteries which fit both ways into the charger. The charger has 4 symbols which nobody can accurately 'translate' for me. Can you? Here they are: solid red line with empty battery picture, dashed red line with full battery sign, dotted red line with 'X' through the picture and solid green line with a symbol I don't recognize. Thank you!
