My Compaq Presario Cq62
my computer as soon as i turn it on it gets very hot, and freezes up i have to take the battery out because it gets so hot, please help me resolve this problem, also is there a recall on the battery for this model?

Does it get hot with the power cord in or out? The battery may be bad or the charger may be bad. If it does get hot with the power cord in does the laptop run OK with no power cord? Sounds like the battery may just be defective.
Can you hear the fan running inside the laptop? If the fan dies the case will get really hot and then the laptop "should" shut down.
