How Can I Disable My Computer Searching For Hp Printer In Wireless Connection?

My computer is working with HP Photosmart 5510 e-ALL-IN-ONE printer well in wireless connection. But if I turn off the printer, my computer constantly searches for the printer. My mouse on my laptop screen shows a small cycle every two seconds. This makes me headache. Then I uninstalled the HP software, Everything is back to normal. My question is how I can turn off my computer searching for the printer if the software is installed? Thanks a lot.

Go into the printers settings by finding the icon that looks like your printer and disable scan to computer i have the same printer.
