How To Remove And Clean Print Head Hp 4620

While machine power ON, open door so carriage unit moves to replace ink cartridges position. Unplug machine. Remove all ink cartridges. Removed one screw underneath control panel using "start head bit". Use small screw driver to remove control panel, then unplug bus connector. There are 3 more silver screws removed them also. There is a plastic lever that supports Glass and ADF on right hand side gently remove and lean assembly to removed six other black screws. Lift up plastic assembly and unplug one wire connector on left side of machine.
You should now be able to see cavity and printhead assembly. Gently remove encoder strip, and remove 2 large springs that secure and holds print head
in place. Now gently remove 3 bus connector attached to printhead. You should now be able to remove print head. Flush heads using a syringe filled with distilled warm water. To re-assemble use reverse process.
Note: If you venture and want to replace print head, a simulation is needed to to tell machine it has a new print head.
