Eject From Docking Station

Is there a certain way I should be ejecting from docking station? When I do, I lose my wireless connectivity and have to reboot to get it back. On my old pc, I would eject under the start menu but nothing is there to eject it properly so I'm just hitting the eject button on the docking station.
