Scan & Save To Word In Windows 8.1

Since changing PC to Windows 8.1 + Office 2010 when I try to scan and save to Word the option is not there, just save to pdf. Why the change, when using F4580 with XP + Office 2003 I had several options. Can I get these back and how?
