Let's try opening Arcsoft Webcam Companion, and choose Monitor. The camera is on you now. Go to settings (looks like a wrench or just CTRL+T). Click on the Monitor tab. I like to "Disable Auto-Focus when monitoring is available". Click Okay.
Next let's go to WebCam Settings (Looks like a sky cam with a small wrench or just CTRL+W). Click on the Camera Control tab. Adjust the Focus slider bar, then clcik the box only if you want auto focus. Click Okay.
The negative: You have to adjust Focus after each and every time you record.
As they say on G4, "You have been fed!".
