High Pressure Readings On Hayward Perflex Ec75a Filter
I have a Hayward Perflex EC75A DE Filter. I cleaned the filter fingers with diluted muriatic acid. I see no visible tears in any of the fingers. I replaced my Hayward Super Pump with the exact pump that we previously used for 15 years - 1.5 hp. I turned on my pump/filter. I immediately added the DE to precoat the filter, and released the pressure valve until a steady stream of water was produced and closed the valve. I noticed that the filter gauge was at 10 but in a matter of a few seconds it was nearing 20. I turned it off, bumped it, and started it again. The same thing happened with the pressure. Can you please tell me what do to do correct this?
