Hayward H100id1 Makeing Knocking Sounds

When ignition occurs the heater "knocks" - sounds like something loose flying around or a car with a faulty cylinder. Random sort of sounds. the entire heater shakes with each knock.The heater does work like this...but makes me awfully nervous. Any idea
