How Do I Fit The Cloth Filter Bag Over The Filter Basket?
I just purchased this item today at Harbor Freight tools. After installing the foam filter over the filter basket i also needed to install the cloth filter bag over the filter basket. However, the cloth filter bag is either too small or too tight to fit over the basket. I tried in vain and ended up tearing the foam filter. Now I need to get a new one. It seems impossible to slip that cloth bag over the plastic basket without damaging the foam filter. Is there any other bag I can install over the foam that won't be so tight?? Or do I need the cloth bag if still have the dust bag installed. Not sure what to do here. I really don't want to return this vacuum but I might have to. Thanks for listening,Mark

As I was googling for same answer and read your comments regarding how on Earth does this filter bag go on the basket of the shop vac as I believe I tried in vain as you did to place it over the basket. I finally managed to get it on!
Place the bag over the basket to where the bag is over the outer edge of basket. Gather and work the bag on towards you until filter bag is completely on the outer ring of basket where form filter also rests on. Then adjust the filter bag gently around to ensure secure fit. Hope this helps.
