The Control Knob Will Not Turn, It Feels Locked Up???

My blender had the same problem. It was caused by sticky residue from making margaritas collecting on the outside of the switch knob in the recessed area of the base. Pull the knob straight out and clean the knob and the recessed area thoroughly, dry the parts and then reinstall the knob. Do not let any water enter into the motor base.
