Dry Only

I was told when I purchased this combo unit that I could use the DRYER only when I just needed to.  I can not remember how to do that and the manual I have is not explicit enough to show me. HELP?

Put the wash cycle on Quick, then push the Wash and Rinse buttons until the screen is blank. Select your dry cycle. That's it!

With the unit turned off. Press the power on button. Then press the button that says dry at least two times, 3 hours of dry time will appear on the display, press dry again this will change it to 2 hours of dry time, and again will change it to 1 hour, this will work down to 30 minutes of dry time. Then just press the start button. It took me a while to figure it out also. The manual is not much help.
