Deleting Goods From Groupon

Can you delete purchased goods from groupon after you get the item in the mail? I understand about marking items as redeemed but the gift items I got that were already mailed to me don't have the redeemed option that I can tell.

I just chatted with groupon customer service and they said they will automatically go into the redeemed area after the return time frame has been reached. They also said they have had other complaints and are working on the problem.

Groupon's documentation says to click the blue link labeled "Mark as Redeemed" under the "View Details" button.
