The Shockwave Flash On My Google Chrome Crashes Periodically.

It seems that sometimes, when I click on any given website link, Google Chrome stops working, with the cryptic errorbox popping up, as seen in the image. When I click OK, Chrome starts working again, except that the flash plugin crashed. What could be the cause of this?

I would update to adobe flash; it tends to work better.
