You can not currently rename a personal Gmail account. If you need to have another Gmail account, then you will have to create another new account. To do this, you can click on the profile image (upper right) on your email screen, and choose Log Out. Once you do this, and you go back to gmail.com, you will get the option to Log In. Underneath the username field is a Create Account button. This is where you can create your account.
Once the account is created, you can get fancy, and set up Mail Fetcher to pull mail from your original gmail account. This will allow you to manage both accounts from the one location.
