Ge Profile Refrigerator Model Pfss6pkxcss - Constant Noise
Hello: I have a GE Profile refrigerator model PFSS6PKXCSS French door upper with bottom drawer freezer. This unit was purchased in May 2009. It recently started making a loud medium pitched noise which was intermittent, but now is almost constant, If I open the upper doors, the noise stops, but just prior to stopping I hear a grinding sound coming from the back of the upper compartment. When I close the doors, there is a delay of approx 1- 2 minutes, then the noise starts again. The unit does still seem to be cooling and freezing properly, but the noise is becoming worse. the noise come from the evap fan you need to open the door press the door switch so it seam like the door is close and you can hear where the noise come from .
99% its your fan that might got ice build up on it or a damage fan
