New, Professionally Installed Ge Jt3000sfss Trips Breaker

Our newly unboxed, professionally installed GE JT 3000sfss trips the 50 AMP breaker... it Shares this service with an older GE Profile cook top which has never had an issue...Is it possible the unit is DOA, or we have a wiring issue or maybe the breaker needs to be replaced?Any suggestions? Thanks in advance, -Rick
