Fins On The Agitator Are Catching On Small Items And Causing Tearing
Purchased 7/16/11. The fins on the agitator are not solid at the bottom and this allows socks to get caught in this small space...causing unraveling of the sock tops and the loose sock threads cause entire wash to become a tangled mess that has to be cut apart with scissors. Also happens with any cords of hooded sweatshirts and bra straps. Has ruined dozen of pairs of socks and other items. Have purchased GE appliances for over 45 years, and am very disappointed with this machine. My older GE washers had an agitator that was a solid mold with the fins. This model's agitator is a BIG PROBLEM. Can I replace this agitator with one from an older GE machine?. I would loose the fabric soffener option, but at least I would not have the tearing and unraveling.
