Super Noisy Spin Cycle
This is for GE washer / Dryer Model # GTUP270GM4WW, Serial # MDO18862C. Is there a known cause for this extreme spin cycle noise? The noise is a roar that increases in amplitude and pitch as the spin speed accelerates and peaks accordingly. It has been getting gradually worse since it was new. I can not seem to hear any significant crunching or metal to metal screeching, - - just the grinding roar ( like a heavily loaded truck tire against the pavement along with a sound similar to a plane revving up for take off). I have never heard such noise in any washer over the decades - - ( I'm 64 ). Note: It stays in balance and everything else seems good. The dryer is super ! The construction is attractive & solid.
