Connecting A Second Monitor!

Hi, I have a Gateway One ZX6980 pc and I would like to conncet a second monitor to my pc. I have used a HDMI to VGA cable to conncet them; however, the second monitor is not connecting, I really appreciate your help, Neda Ghousifam

VGA and HDMI are two completely different formats so you need to make sure the cable you're using is actually converting the signal. There are a lot of cheap "HDMI-to-VGA" cables out there that don't really do anything. You'll need something like this to convert the signal from digital (HDMI) to analog (VGA).

trying to connect PC toTV,Gateway zx6980 computer using HDMI cable .all i get is no signal ,tried change resolution still no signal
