Computer Beeps
hi,i had a continues beep at the CPU.changed the mother board.now i get a long and a short beep.can you tell me what this is? thank you.

The beeps you are hearing are a diagnostic code. Now you will need to find out your motherboard's BIOS manufacturer. To find this watch your system startup screen for information about the BIOS brand and version, such as Award BIOS v4.51PG. Use a hardware test-and-reporting utility, such as AMIDiag, CheckIt, or others. The three most common BIOS manufacturers are AMI, Award, and Phoenix. Here are lists for all the error codes and their solutions for each BIOS manufacturer.
