Turning Off Gps Simulator
I bought a garmin 40LM but the gps simulator will not shut off.

You have to be in range of a signal when attempting to shut GPS Simulator off (thus reverting to receiving a GPS signal). Select Settings, then System, then GPS Simulator, then Off. It may take a little while to acquire the signal and switch modes.
