Four Wheel Drive

i have a problem with my 07 gmc envoy,it works fine putting it into 4 hi from 2 wheel drive but when i try 4 lo it goes back to 2 wheel and then it won't go into 4 hi unless i tap it on the side of the transfer case and everything works again except 4 lo
