What would cause the engine light and stabilitrak light to come on & how to get it off

These triangles you saw is for the Stabilitrak (traction control) indicators. Normally these lights should be off after the engine has started, unless you disable it by pressing the stabilitrak button. Sometimes it lights up automatically when driving under certain road conditions, and will turn off later when normal conditions resume. A wrench beside the triangle indicates a fault is detected on thge traction system and it requires servicing.
What you can try, stop the vehicle, turn ignition off for a few seconds to reset the system, and then restart the vehicle. If the lights wont go off, then the vehicle really needs to be checked right away.
