Installed Fuel Pump On 2000 Gmc Pickup, Motor Runs But Want Idle Now

Did you replace the filter screen on the pump or did you re-use the old one? You should always buy a new fuel pump screen whenever you replace the fuel pump.
If you did replace the screen, then it could be a clogged fuel filter. You can kick up a lot of sediment in the gas tank when you replace the pump. Always a good idea to replace the filter after you replace the fuel pump.
