On a 1999 GMC Safari, the actual horns are typically located near the front of the vehicle, behind the grille or the front bumper. To access them, you may need to remove some components, such as the grille or the front bumper cover.

Additionally, Below is a general guide on how to replace the horns on a GMC Safari:

Park your vehicle on a flat surface and engage the parking brake for safety.

Open the hood and secure it using the hood latch.

Locate the horns. They are usually mounted on a bracket behind the grille or the front bumper.

Depending on the specific configuration of your Safari, you may need to remove the grille or the front bumper cover to access the horns. Refer to your vehicle's manual for specific instructions on removing these components.

Once you have clear access to the horns, disconnect the electrical connectors attached to them. You may need to remove retaining clips or screws to release the connectors.

Remove any mounting bolts or brackets securing the horns to the vehicle. Take note of their position for easier installation of the new horns.

Install the new horns by reversing the removal process. Secure them using the mounting bolts or brackets.

Reconnect the electrical connectors to the new horns.

Test the horns by pressing the horn button inside the vehicle.

It's worth noting that the specific location and removal process may vary slightly depending on the Safari's trim level and any modifications that have been made. If you're uncertain or uncomfortable with the process, it's recommended to consult a professional mechanic or refer to the vehicle's manual for detailed instructions
