Ge Amazon Credit Card Credit Report Help.

This letter is in reference to my GE Amazon credit card.  The customer service rep I talked to advised me to send you a letter explaining my situation. I was just ready to close on a loan and my mortgage company had to pull another credit report.  My credit score had went down 100 points and I no longer qualified for the loan.  I was told that an over 30 day late payment was reported on my GE Amazon credit card which is why my credit score went down.  My payment was delayed for the following reasons.  I did not receive any emails in my regular inbox or my spam folder about needing to pay.  I also did not receive any bill in the mail.  To my knowledge I should have received a paper bill or an email bill.  I went and looked in my email dating back to 4/25/2012 without finding any payment notice or past due notice in my email. (See screen shot of email below).   I did receive emails when I paid a bill or changed my password but not any for a bill or asking me to pay a GE Amazon bill. I was getting voice mails from GE credit but was not told in the messages that I needed to make a payment on an Amazon charge, just to call.  I failed to make the connection between GE and Amazon.  I also have a Carecredit card from GE and thought the calls from GE were about general information about Carecredit or to be sold something.  After I called and found out the call was about a payment to you, I did make the payment ASAP.  Having two cards from GE could be why I am not receiving email bills on GE Amazon.  I found other postings on the web from other GE amazon customers who also never received bills, email or paper.(See below) Your card is automatically charged when I make a purchase on Amazon. I have two cards on Amazon and thought the charges went to the other card for I never received a bill from you.  I now have a zero balance on your card because my bank requested I close the account to get my refinance.  I have been a good customer for Amazon and buy from them frequently.  I would like to continue buying from them and possibly using your GE card in the future for I have never been late on a payment before.   I do not want to become another customer who is unhappy with GE Amazon. Please remove the 30 day late charge on my credit report because I never received a bill from you and because I have been such a good customer in the past.  I have paid you all the late charges you requested. I will never miss a payment again. Up to this point I have never missed a payment in the past before this one. I would like to continue being a good GE Amazon customer. If the late payment reporting is removed from my credit report I will still be able to get my loan and would again be a happy customer. Thank you, Ilene Christenson                                     Postings found on the WEB: Absolute worst decision ever to sign up for this card.  I signed up anticipating the rewards of using the card.  However, during sign up they did not transfer my billing information used in all previous purchases of this card nor was my billing information ever asked for.  I signed up using my Amazon.com user name and assumed that by signing up through that account all my relevant information would be transferred...especially considering it was never asked of me.  I made a simple small purchase of $45 and used my store card.  Life picked up and I had forgotten that rather than using my debit card (like I typically use with Amazon) I had used my StoreCard.  Thus, I forgot to make a payment.  It has now been 2 months since that purchase and rather than reach out to me with the information stored on my Amazon account, this transaction has been sitting, unnoticed and unpaid.  There was no bill sent to my house informing me of the amount due.  There was no email sent to my account informing me of the bill due.  It sat.  Then, a few days ago, I receive a notice in my inbox (so they obviously have my account information) requesting to know where billing information should go.  That sets off a few reminders that I needed to pay that transaction.  After scouring their website to find an easy way to make a payment (which took much longer than needed due to poor navigation of the website) I found out how to pay and realized that I was charged almost $70 in fees.  Needless to say, this has been an extremely unpleasant experience and reflects not only on the credit card company but on Amazon.com.  I will rethink making any purchases through Amazon and will be closing my StoreCard once the transaction clears the bank and pays off my card.    DO NOT GET THIS. It is impossible to schedule automatic payments. They only allow to schedule one future payment every 24 hours. They are banking on making a miserable profit by expecting people to forget to pay. If you have other options, use them.       Don't gett this card.  It is a bait and switch.  They lead you to believe that you set up automatic payments from your checking account and then they charge you a heafty late fee when the payments are not made.  Real ripoff.     This is the worst credit card I have ever owned. I do not recommend anyone using this credit card. Here is the story of my bad experience.  Amazon provided a good deal with 12 months interest free option with Amazon.com store card. They sent me the statement 2 months after the purchase with a late fee $35.00. I called them and told them that I never recieved the statement. They waived $35.00 fee (their first attempt to rip me off was failed).  For the next month, I set up a google calendar reminder to pay, which did not kicked in on time. I missed the payement by 2 days, and found I am already charged $25.00 late fee. The customer service provider told me he can only do 1-waiver in 12 months. and then forwarde me to the superviser. The superviser told me that as I already got one waiver, she can not waive again. The first waiver was their mistake, not mine, but she is not accepting that. She also said she can not grant excuse for the google calendar reminder failure, but suggested me to use Amazon online banking and then use the reminder of that online banking service. I asked, what if I do not want to use the Amazon online banking? There is no provision of setting up recurring payment and if you do not want to miss the deadline, you have to use Amazon online banking. Now, this is clear to me that there is a trap for customers here. As there is no monthly reminder email and recurring payment option provided to you, it is highly likely to miss the payments and they can continue charging you late fee. If you want to avoid late fee, you have to be checking back there online payment portal manually or subscribe to Amazon online banking.  I did not like this type of fishy business model. As I said this to the supervisor, she got rude and told me "you have to pay if you miss, you have agreed on the terms and conditions", what a rude treatment. I am going to pay off the amount and say bye bye to amazon.com store card. I am glad they showed their true color to me at my expense of $25.00 fee only DON'T GET ONE. seriously-- it seems great, but when I had a problem with billing (they automatically charged my account without permission...) there was magically nobody that could solve it. the whole experience has been *expensive* and a *NIGHTMARE*. definitely not worth it.    This card is a scam. I applied for the card to complete an order for free interest for a year. I was instantly approved as I have outstanding credit and make six figures a year. A few days later I received an email from Amazon there was something wrong with the credit on the card. They told me it was a small internal problem and that everything was fine and they were completeing the order. A few days later i received another message with the same thing. I called and was told only a $200 item was authorizes and shipped and asked me to give me one of my credit cards to complete the order. I was furious over this and told the rep to get the credit card company on the line and find out the problem. She said she already processed the credit card I gave her and there was nothing she could do.It appears they gave me a $250 limit which now does not qualify for free interest. Now they have my money and are going to charge me interest on the new loan. This is a poor business decision on Amazons part and an extremely lousy way to handle this problem. I could have given them my credit card to begin with from the start. Now my order is delayed and there are some important items on the order. I have been doing business with Amazon for over 20 years and will now limit my purchases with them and check other web sites first.   Hounded by phone (even at 6 am on weekends) for weeks by an unknown phone # that I only recently discovered is GE Money's call center on behalf of Amazon. (I don't answer 866 numbers I don't recognize on my landline or cell or office phones.) Similar to many of you, somehow my paperless bill from Amz/GE Money didn't arrive in my inbox as expected. During that time, I learned a family member out of state was dying, so I was away from my inbox for a period while I was with family during his last days & funeral. Apparently, that coincided with the due date of my bill. I had never missed a payment. Many times daily since, I'd receive calls from 866-771-1104. They'd never leave a message. When I first tried to answer, it was met w/silence, then someone asking for someone w/a name similar to mine. When I corrected the name, the caller hung up on me. When looking at my bank statement, I realized my mistake of missing a payment. I promptly logged in & scheduled the payment, which included a minimum amount w/a penalty added. That payment has been made, & yet I'm still hounded by calls from GE Money.Amazon, you're great. It reflects on you, though, to have such an awful partner. I hope someone will review all the complaints from your customers & confront GE Money about their harassing tactics. I bought my wife an wedding ring and then almost a year to the day I bought a TV. I made 2 payments for each item. GE bank decides to apply both to one account and not the other. I got a nasty letter about non payment and when they realized they were wrong, they would not correct the mistake. A month later I paid both accounts off and they were not happy, but I was. The ARE the PLAGUE. There have been other things that have happened over the years that make me cringe whenever there is a 6 or 12 month same as cash and it is GE I will either pay cash or walk away.   I too got tons of calls from these people but they never spoke up when I answered and never left a message. I made my payment on time but they forgot to post it when they received it. Terrible customer service and terrible partners for Amazon. On June 14, 2012, I posted complaints about GE Money Bank all over the internet, including the Attorney-General's office. On June 15, I received a call approximately 9:00 am from a GE Money Bank employee, who's wishing to resolve the situation. Problem was resolved (Thankfully!). If you're having problems with this company, feel free to contact Dawn, Corporate Specialist, Consumer Relations for GE Money Bank. Perseverance does pay off! Don't give up! Good Luck! GE has made 3 hard runs on my credit in less than a year which also along with their monthly report of a closed account for bad payment history creates an additional derogatory situation on my report. My credit score is in their hands. I have no accounts in collections. I have nothing over due. My fico is oddly 622 yet all three CRA's are reporting 703,703,693 and the reason Fico states the lower is because of the derogatory comments on the account. Prior to missing the two months my score was 805. For 30 days delinquency I'm destroyed in this manner for over a year and some drunk fool who gets repeated DUI's gets a few days community service and walks free? Somethings real wrong and somethings real wrong with this company. If you hate your own guts get one of their cards. Don't ever have an emergency they'll make sure to make your nightmares even worse.
