Baked Potato Fire

Hello: my microwave caught fire while cooking a baked potato, using the "baked potato button". I have seen that this is common- is there a recall For this?

There is actually not a recall for any Frigidaire microwave units. This can be checked on Frigidaire's site, at the bottom of the page. - When it comes to using the potato feature on most any brand microwave appliance it must be set once and not repeatedly used time after time. This can over heat the unit and make the sensor fail inside the unit. Also, the magnetron will not operate correctly and could cause the unit to short out.
