Good afternoon favfoley5! Thanks for allowing me to assist you. On this particular unit, the flashing 4 error code indicates a damper failure or faulty connection to the damper. A professional service technician is required to complete a full diagnostic test and repair either the damper or the main control board. The damper allows cool air from the freezer side of the unit to enter the refrigeration side and cool its contents. The main control board controls the damper and all other electrical functions within the unit. Please let me know if you schedule a technician and if you have any other concerns with the unit.
