Hello Davegeml, I am happy to assist you!

Generally speaking, some air conditioners are not designed with holes to drain water. Typically, all condensate water created is circulated across the condenser coil to help cool the coil and maintain proper refrigerator. In order words, the fan inside your air conditioner slings the water up unto the coils to cool the internal components off while your appliance is in use. In very humid conditions, some water may drain out of the hold in the base of the air conditioner, which this is normal. It is not recommended to drill any holes on your air conditioner because it could possibly hit an internal part and damage your appliance completely. I hope this information helps to some degree. Thank you!
