Reliability is very hard to judge and rate. It can be very subjective depending on the environment and use of the appliance.
However I will say this unit is not louder than 52 dB, decibel rating. You may ask well what does that mean? A household hair dryer is 53-55 dB in noise. So you would not hear this unit more than a household hair dryer from 3-6ft away. Typically.
