Hi GooSpamm,

I understand you are concerned with the amount of ice your Frigidaire refrigerator is producing. For this model, FGHB2844LF, the ice maker is located on the left side of the fresh food section. The ice bin holds 2 – 3.5 lbs. of ice, to make the maximum amount of ice the bin will need to be emptied periodically. The normal amount of ice production within a 24 hour period is 9 lbs. of ice. If this is not was you are experiencing there may be several reasons your refrigerator is not producing enough ice. Make sure the freezer drawer is closed with no gaps around the top, side of bottom gasket. Another option to check is if the water valve is completely open or not. Additionally, make sure your water filter is seated correctly; the front face of the filter should be flush with the housing. Could there possibly be a kink in the water supply line? If none of these tips seem to resolve the condition I would recommend contacting a licensed technician in your area to inspect the refrigerator further. I hope this information proves helpful to you.

Thanks,
