• Drain tube not seated flush against the freezer liner floor.
• Drain trough opening misaligned with the drain tube opening.
• Excessively cold temperatures in the freezer.
Follow this procedure to accurately diagnose and repair the issue:
1. Remove water and ice accumulated in the bottom of the freezer and in the drain. If using a heat gun, use caution to avoid damaging the liner or the drain tube.
2. Review fit of the drain tube in the freezer floor. If freezer floor is uneven, use kit 5300185406 to repair. Freezer floor must be at room
temperature for the epoxy to set properly. If drain tube is not flush with the liner floor, pull down on drain tube from the bottom on
the outside of the unit until the grommet is flush with the liner.
After repair is complete, use small volume of warm water to ensure water drains properly and does not remain in drain area.
Review alignment of the drain trough.
If drain trough is not aligned with the drain tube opening, correct the alignment. Ensure that the coil cover is positioned behind the edge of the drain trough to capture water dripping from the coil cover during defrost.
Hope all this helps! Typically this is not a DIY job but if you feel up to it then just make sure to follow everything carefully and when in doubt contact Frigidaire for a service visit via 1-888-203-1389.
