Cooktops usually take  around 50 amps from 220 voltage while  a standard 110 supply will only provide about 15 amps, therefore, you will need a 220 line run from your breaker box to your cooktop.  Unless you are use to working with high voltage electricity, it is advisable to hire a licensed electrician.    If your cooktop has Red & Black HOT wires and a Green Neutral then it is 220 volts.  A typical household 110 outlet has a HOT Black  wire and the White is Neutral.  Dealing with electrical wiring is dangerous unless you know what you are doing.  Hire a pro!
