Frigidaire Fdl70s1 Dehumidifier Relative Humidity Sensor Incorrect

The dehumidifier senses a room relative humidity of 30% no matter what the actual humidity may be.  The fan works and when on CONTINUOUS it works, but when I set a humidity (for example) of say 65 % the unit will run for a brief period and then after it senses the room humidity of 30% it shuts off.  Well if the actual humidity was 30% that would be grand, but it is much higher than that.
