I was experiencing the same issue with the LAD504NUL model.  Some googling suggested that the drain systems are poorly designed and that the unit needs to be tilted slightly in order to drain out the tube.  I put a piece of cardboard under the front of my unit and now its flowing out the hose and not into the bucket.

The kit to fix this is part number 201126690193.  There is the number EA155D on the bag, too, and frigidaire sent it free of charge.  It is simply a little rubber plug to plug the right hole inside the unit and a ninty degree drain extension with a vent hole for your garden hose.  Why didn't they simply put it in the box with the dehumidifier?

I had success with this by calling Frigidaire at 1-888-775-6937.  You have to go through a series of prompts first to get to the right person.  I just said I had one of these units and heard there was a fix kit available for continuous drainage problems.  They sent it right out.  The model and serial number are required.

I have had the same problem with the 50 pint Frigidaire dehumifier.  This was not an issue with previous 50 pint Frigidaire unit which died after 11 months of use.  Lowes replaced the unit with the newly designed 50 pint unit.  To solve the problem of water draining into the bucket even when the hose is attached for continuous draining, I just put a piece of Duct tape over the hole that allows water to drain into the bucket.  I also put a pvc right angle  fitting screwed into the continuous drain outlet and then attached clear tubing(1/2" ID) to the floor drain in my basement.  I too have  not been able to get the unit to go below 50% humidity. The previous Frigidaire unit was able to get the humidity down to at least 40%.

It's a design flaw.  A typical hose narrows from the nozzle to the hose and the design does not account for this - no pressure to navigate the narrowing.  I expected more from Fridgiarre.

I just got off the phone with Frigidaire and found out how to fix this problem. I have the same unit and the drain hose worked for several month the unit began filling the bucket instead. They said they have had problems with this unit not 'recognizing' that the hose is attached. They are sending me a drain kit for free that is some kind of elbow that attaches to the back that the hose is then attached to. They said in the meantime that tilting the unit back a bit could help. I may also plug the two drain holes that go into the bucket on upper surface of the bucket opening. Hope this helps.

I have the same unit, only in a 70 pint model. 2 hrs of frustration with Frigidaire NON-customer service, and no resolution to the problem. They told me to return it to Lowes and get another..No way..I want my money back...

I even tried driling the restriction in the hose outlet out larger and it still drains some into the bucket. I need this to drain completely by hose, as I am away for long periods..Definitely a design flaw!

talked with their service department this morning.  They claim the hose must be <3 feet long otherwise the drips backup into the tank since there is zero pressure, a long hose will block the output once the drips fill it and then the drips will go into the bucket.  Call them and they will send you a hose kit.  Hope this helps.

I was having this problem when I found a kink in the hose. I have the dehumidifier on a shelf next to a sink. I arranged to hose so that it wouldn't kink. Problem solved.

It is amazing that Fridgidare doesn't know what the problem is. In most cases, the drain hose has clogged with growth. Although everyone knows to clean out the hose, that same growth is in the outlet portion of the dehumidifier. Take a bottle brush (an old toothbrush will also work), insert and twist. Something really nasty will be attached. Now take a bulb syrenge with a mild bleach solution and blast it through the 1/4" drip hole (the hole that fills the bucket). With a clean drain hose AND a clean outlet port, it should drain without tilting, without the adapter that Frididare will sent out that includes a plug for the hole and a "breather fitting" for the hose.

you're probably using a washing machine hose (3/4" fitting on a 1/2" hose- the water is hitting the inside of the fitting and being forced into the bucket- get a garden hose that fits with the same size hose attached (3/4" fitting w/ 3/4" hose) problem will be solved
