Hello ja2002, I am happy to assist you!

An error code E64 is associated with the heater circuit. The heater circuit is in the open position and a technician would typically check heater coils and connections for short circuits to the cabinet to determine the precise issue. Generally speaking, the heating element is located on the lower left side of the cabinet, below the dryer drum. The thermal fuse can be found on the heater housing. I strongly recommend connecting with a local appliance tech that has the expertise to distinguish which part is the culprit. I hope this information proves useful.

You have to take the top and back off the dryer. The heating elements are located inside a coffee can looking housing at the bottom right side of the dryer if you are looking at it from the backside. The thermal sensor is a little black piece located on the dryer exhaust tube about midway on the tube it has two little wires going to it follow the exhaust tube from where you connect the dryer vent hose back about halfway its a no brainer. If you change it out dont worry about which little wire goes where. It doesnt matter the sensor will send or not send a signal to the mother board. It will read open or closed. It trips when it gets hot with a bimetal sensor.
