Warning Message
"Check Cooling Additive" warning lights up after starting the truck, the cooling resivoir indicates normal level when checked cold, doesn't appear to need coolant, manual says nothing about an additive. What must I do? Thank you.

This message appears on the info panel to alert you that it is time to have your collant checked. It will be checked for things, such as alkalinity, presence of nitrates, percent of glycol and corrotion ability. This message appears approximately every 600 hours of engine run time - more or less depending upon your driving habits, conditions, etc.
Your collant needs to be checked and, given the new age of the vehicle, may be covered by your dealer. Check with them. To clear the message, go to the info screen and choose Coolant and press and hold the OK button until it clears.
