Drivers Side Rear Lights Went Out.

No brake, tail, blinker, or running light on that side and only in rear. All bulbs and fuses are good. I suspect perhaps a damaged wire, but are there certain points of contact or locations that are more likely to fail than others? There was no impact or collision and nothing was run over, Everything was working fine, I went into a building for a pick-up, and when I came out and started the car, I was told by the parking dude (seriously, he wears a shirt with "parking dude" written on it!) that my lights were out.   Any ideas?
