Trans Will Not Go Into Reverse.

wife parked car, hen put it into reverse and it would not move. she pushed it back a bit and moved forward towards home. as she was braking down to about 5 mph, the car apparently shifted into park. sheshifted to park then back to drive and proceeded the final 100 yards home. shes pee od . .whats up anyone!
