2006 Ford Fusion Intermittent No Crank- Nostart
occasionally when I turn my key to the run position only the seat belt icon appears on the dash. when that happens I know my car will not start. when I turn my key to the run position and all the icons are on the dash my car starts as should every time. furthermore before I put my key in the ignition, I know if my car will start by pushing the emergency flasher button. if I push the button and the flasher appears on the dash the car starts every time. if I push the button and the flasher does not come on the dash the car never starts. (turn the keyand nothing no crank- no start ).

you may have a loose cable connection on the battery. Turn your lights on then try to crank the car .. if the lights go out then chances are the red + wire is loose...If that's not the problem then ... do you have another key? Try the other key because most anti-theft keys have a tiny battery inside the plastic. If the other key starts the car the get a sharp knife (Please be careful) and put the blade in the seam ... gently press and wedge the blade against the seam .. slow and gentle .. the plastic should pop in two halves. Don't leave the old battery out long .. just long enough to get enough info to order a new one .. then put the old battery back in until the new one comes New keys are available on Ebay for less than $10 and directions for programing them are easy .. but you need a working Key for the new key to copy. If the problem is the key there are lots of people on here to help you get a new key working
