Check Charging System Indicator. Ford Expedition 2006

check charging system came on, along with a red battery light. Car continued to behave normally. electrical gauge showed no indication system was not charging. lights, etc all normal, no dimming. drove for 45 miles - no change. turned off vehicle then started it up, all normal.
