Gearshift Lever

My 2004 Explorer gearshift lever will not go into park.  The lever broke as well as the gearshift lever collar.  I replaced them and now it will not go all the way into park.  Shifts fine otherwise.  There seems to be a little pin coming up from the bottom that moves up and down that is keeping from going into park.  What can I do to fix it?
